Or add to your MCP client config:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "topicforge": {
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": [
        "topicforge"
      ],
      "env": {
        "TOPICFORGE_MODE": "<YOUR_VALUE>",
        "TOPICFORGE_DDS_BACKEND": "<YOUR_VALUE>",
        "TOPICFORGE_DDS_DOMAIN_ID": "<YOUR_VALUE>",
        "TOPICFORGE_TELEMETRY": "<YOUR_VALUE>"
      }
    }
  }
}
  • TOPICFORGE_MODE — mock (deterministic fixtures, no ROS2 needed), live, or auto. Defaults to auto.
  • TOPICFORGE_DDS_BACKEND — DDS backend: mock, cyclone, fast, or auto. cyclonedds is a core dependency on platforms with wheels (Linux x86_64, Windows x64, macOS; Python 3.10-3.13); the [dds] extra remains an alias.
  • TOPICFORGE_DDS_DOMAIN_ID — DDS domain id to observe, 0-232. Joined at startup; changing it requires a restart.
  • TOPICFORGE_TELEMETRY — Opt-in anonymous telemetry, off by default. When off, no network code path executes.
